Homemade Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

These cute Peanut Butter Cups are absolutely heavenly, aren't they? Those of you who have tasted Reese's would know how great they taste. Instead of buying those, it gives immense satisfaction if we could make it Homemade, so that they are just 4 ingredients going into this candy without any unnecessary preservatives or too much salt and sugar. The process is quite a breeze, you just need to put the ingredients, layer by layer and let it set. How cool is that? Do try this recipe and give your kids the best Homemade Reese's PB cups! These adorable candies make the best choice for Edible gifts and Party desserts as well.

Preparation time - 15mins
Stting time - 30-45mins altogether
Yields - 6 PB cups,big

Ingredients:

Dark / Semi-sweet Chocolate - 1cup, roughly chopped
Peanut Butter - 1/4cup (use creamy, not the chunky)
Icing sugar - 1-2tblsp
Butter - 3tblsp

Method:-

1.  Microwave 1/2cup chocolate and 1tblsp butter for 30sec first. Take it out and give a quick stir. Put it back and microwave for another 30sec and you can see its completely melted.

2.  Line a muffin tray with medium-sized cupcake liners. It is not needed to grease it with butter or cooking spray.

3.  Fill 1/3 of it with melted chocolate and tap it on the counter gently so that it spreads uniformly. Freeze for 15mins, until firm.

4.  Meanwhile, prepare the Peanut butter mixture. Take peanut butter, icing sugar and 1tblsp butter and microwave for 30sec until its melted. Take out and stir well and rest for a while to bring it to room temperature. You don't the hot mixture to go on top of Chocolate layer which may melt the chocolate.

5.  Once the chocolate layer is firm, pour the peanut butter mixture to fill 2/3 of the liner. Tap gently to spread evenly. Freeze for another 15-20mins, until set.

6.  Now, follow Step 1 and prepare another batch of Chocolate mixture using the remaining 1/2cup chocolate.

7.  Once the Peanut butter layer is set firmly, fill that chocolate to required level and freeze again for 15mins.

8.  Once you are sure, all the layers are well set, take out from the freezer and gently peel of the wrapper and enjoy these lovely Peanut Butter Cups!

Note:

For a more rich taste, you could use Milk chocolate in place of Dark Chocolate and also add another tblsp of butter to the chocolate mix.
