Cheese Dosa | Kids- Friendly Tiffin Recipe

This week is all about Cheese Recipes which obviously fall under Kids-friendly recipes also. For this first day, Iam sharing a very simple yet delicious recipe - Cheese Dosa which my kids relish so much. This Cheesy Dosa can be made just with loads of cheese or any of your favourite veggie can be added together with the Cheese to top up the nutritional value. Only pre-requisite is that you should have Dosa batter and some Cheese handy and you are all set to go to enjoy this yummy, cheesy Dosa.

Theme - Say Cheese

Preparation time - 3mins per Dosa
Yields - 6 Dosas
Ingredients:-

Dosa batter - As required
Onion - 1, finely chopped
Capsicum - 1/2, finely chopped
Tomato - 1, finely chopped
Green chilli - 1, finely cut (optional)
Coriander leaves - As required
Mozzarella Cheese - 1cup
Oil - 2-3tsp

Method:-

1.  Heat a non-stick Dosa Tawa and spread 1 & 1/2 ladle-full of batter and spread into thin Dosa. Let the heat be medium.

2. Add the chopped veggies and cheese. If you prefer, drizzle oil along the edges of the Dosa. I skipped this as the Cheesy flavour in the Dosa was just awesome and I did'nt want to add on calories.

3. Cook covered, on a medium-high heat for 1-2mins until the Cheese has melted and the Dosa is cooked. Do Not flip and cook as we do for regular dosa as the Cheese would stick onto the Tawa and make a mess. Cheese Dosa tastes great if served hot.

Enjoy as such or with a Chutney and Sambar of your choice!

Sending this to Kids' Delight event hosted by PJ this month on the theme 'Say Cheese'. Do drop by and check the wonderful entries out there.
